Adventure of children and adults, fancied trips and everyday tragedies. The city and the countryside. Real and dreamt life.
An experimental film inspired to the life of Emilio Salgari and his novel Yolanda, daughter of the Black Corsair. The movie is part of a series produced by Quarto Film on the 150th anniversary of Salgari's birth.

"A film about current times, with an eye on the past. A bipolar film, which travels through the inventive, anarchist, subversive force of childhood and the perception and receptivity of reality. A film of disassociation, because each character implies another one, whether created or real." (Tonino De Bernardi)

Tonino De Bernardi (Chivasso, Italy, 1937) is a Music History graduate from the university of Turin, where he defended his thesis on Igor Stravinskij with Massimo Mila. Running in Arte Povera and neo-avant-garde circles, he made his first film Il mostro verde (1967) with painter Paolo Menzio. Among his works of art presented in Italy and around the world: Viaggio a Sodoma (1989) winner of the World Wide Video Festival, Appassionate (1999) and Médée Miracle (2007).
