MIU MIU WOMEN'S TALES: THE CREATIVITY OF ACTING
Miu Miu Women's Tales project, set with Creative Partner Miu Miu, includes a series of talks, devoted to the theme of female creativity and covering different creative stages in filmmaking: directing, production and acting.
Third "face off" conversation, moderated by journalist Ingrid Sischy (International Editor Vanity Fair), involves two rising actresses such as Freida Pinto (of the marvellous turn in Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire) and Michelle Dockery (a household name thanks to her role as Mary Crawley in the award-winning TV series Downton Abbey).
The idea for the talks was born from the need to stimulate reflection on women's experiences working and expressing their creativity in various sectors of the film industry, from writing and producing to acting and directing, so they can put their heads together and share their thoughts on the nature of that "special something", so vibrant and so different, that a woman's gaze can bring to the creation of a work of art. Miu Miu presents the voices of quite different personalities who have had first-hand experience of the risks and the rewards of a career in film in a "man's world".
