IS TV THE FUTURE OF CINEMA? TV SERIES TAKE ON FESTIVALS AND THE FILM INDUSTRY
The growing passion for TV series started as a social, cross-media trend and has turned into a cult phenomenon, battering down the resistance of the gatekeepers of cinema, the major film festivals. In Italy, TV series were under-appreciated and barely studied until September 22, 2004, when the first episode of Lost aired. Talk about a turning point! But when did film wake up and realize what was new in television?
Panel promoted by 100autori in collaboration with Venice Days
Moderator: Giacomo Durzi
Speakers: Frédéric Boyer, Renato De Maria, Jeppe Gjervig Gram, Nicola Lagioia, Nicola Lusuardi, Savina Neirotti, Stefano Sardo, Boris Sollazzo
